What’s potsandkisses?

From Girl with a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevaliar:

The man leaned over, fished out the pot, dumped the water from it, and held it out to me. I ran down the steps and took it from him. “Thank you. I’m most grateful.”

He did not let go of the pot. “Is that all I get? No kiss?” He reached over and pulled my sleeve. I jerked my arm away and wrestled the pot from him.

“Not this time,” I said as lightly as I could. I was never good at that sort of talk.

He laughed. “I’ll be looking for pots every time I pass here now, won’t I, young miss?” He winked at Cornelia. “Pots and kisses.” He took up his pole and pushed off.

This site is created today (2nd November 2009). I used to be there. I was there since March 2006.

But now I have to stay here because I paid for it.

By the way, the header image is kindly taken by Jiroumi on the day I moved into my place. No soft toys were terribly harmed in the process of shooting.

The header images are taken by my very talented friends. The ones with the bear hanging on the wall are taken byJiroumi, the one with all of us trying to pry open our eyes is taken by Lisa, and the one with all of us in Christmas cracker crowns is taken by Ben. All of you are very good. (:
